Pasta with Florentine-Garlic Sauce

So what started out with a simple Garlic Butter Sauce recipe from AllRecipes.com, turned out to be a delicious Florentine-style addition to Angel Hair Pasta.

Taking their simple recipe, I increased the butter from 1/3 to 1/2 cup, added two cloves of garlic instead of one, and added sun-dried tomatoes, chopped mushrooms, and shredded kale.

Seasoned with dried Basil and Oregano to taste, Celery Salt, and Pepper, it made for a burst of extravagant flavor for the palate.

While that would have been a complete meal in and of itself, I decided to oven-broil some Rock Cod fillets, lightly basted in White Wine, Olive Oil, Curry Powder, Cumin and Minced Garlic.

This little addition was off the chain–and the entire meal took less than 40 minutes… Suhweet!

What’s for Dinner?

Lemon Garlic Tilapia, compliments of AllRecipes.com accompanied by Candied Carrots and Kale, which is fast becoming my favorite Iron-Beta Carotene source. Mr. Foodie even whipped up his favorite Kraft Macaroni & Cheese!

Delicious and nutritious….

What’s for Dinner?

Ms. Foodie is having Garlic Chicken Fragrant Rice tonight!  Allrecipes.com is the place to go for this quick and easy recipe.  This could be called a “one-pot” meal, because it’s all prepared in a rice cooker.  If you don’t have one, you must purchase it as soon as possible!  Perfect rice every time, and it steams vegetables beautifully.

Of course, I use any recipe as a launch point to do my own thing: I prefer more chicken, so instead of one thigh, I add two. I  also use two green onions, where the recipe calls for only one–Double the pleasure, double the fun!

Mmm… Mmmm… Mmmm!

Gourmet Food Truck locations in real time… you gotta be kiddin’ me?!

In the past, you would have had to locate LA Food trucks like Calbi BBQ and Komodo by visiting their Twitter page.  But as usual, Google has come to rescue!

truxmap is a new Google Maps addition, that pinpoints the locations and times of where trucks are right now, where they’ll be later, and where they have been!  And duh… of course there’s an app for that–Suhweet!
